Social structures in India have been and will continue to affect the mentality of people in this country. Historically social trends have emphasized there values on the way people think, work and shall continue working towards.
This social structure has affected the way we live our life today, some in a positive way and some in a negative way.
The entire social structure of India revolves around the character from Venus aka 'women' which ironically is the most abused creature in India although it shouldn't have been this way.
Take for instance the caste system of India which is widely regarded as the the epitome of the Social trends in India which according to me is malicious, in a way it is.
Some of the so called threads of social structures in India are namely,
1.Men (b*st*rds!! well yes some of them are )
2.Women (Yes! finally something which we will explore extensively later)
3. Family (after all we are the only culture where the concept of 'joint family' is very popular)

Social structure of a race are characterized by the very respect it gives to its women folks. India as a society in the olden days was free of taboo and stereotypes but this very fabric of us as a nation has tarnished with time. The reason can be attributed to various things like the anarchy, monarchy and then subsequent invasions of thoughts (read religion) from the western frontier and then the good old English accompanies by the Portuguese and the Frenchies.

Anarchy due to the innumerable things our societies were suffering from the lack of will on the part of brahmins to share their knowledge, discouraging the parallel school of thought like the philosophies of Diganda (Founder of Indic Buddhist school) which eventually led to things like over dependence on the omnipotent, the monsoon and thus ultimately resulting in famine, droughts etc etc
